Bertucci’s Corp. said Tuesday it has sold its seven-unit Vinny T’s chain to New York-based C&T Restaurant Management LLC in order to focus on the growth of its core 94-unit chain, Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

C&T Restaurant Management, which is co-owned by John Thall and Piero Casalicchio, is the operator of Pomodorino, a casual-dining concept with four locations on Long Island in New York.

Vinny T's has six restaurants in the Boston area and one in Philadelphia.

Northborough, Mass.-based Bertucci’s purchased Vinny T’s, which was formerly known as Vinny Testa’s, for $6.8 million in 2006 from Buca di Beppo parent Buca Inc. At the time, Bertucci's executives said they planned to expand the then 11-unit brand.
