Boston Pizza Restaurants LP has named Mark Pacinda to the new positions of president and chief executive, the Dallas-based company said this week.

Pacinda will lead Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar in the United States and Mexico and will also continue his roles as president and chief executive of Boston Pizza International Inc., the franchisor of Boston Pizza restaurants in Canada, according to the concept's Richmond, British Columbia-based parent company.

“Mark has demonstrated tremendous leadership in growing the Boston Pizza brand in Canada. Mark will work closely with the leadership team at Boston’s and our great franchisee community,” Jim Treliving, co-owner and co-chairman of Boston Pizza Restaurants LP, said in a statement.

Boston’s has also named Troy Cooper chief operating officer, succeeding Mike Best, who has left the company.

Cooper will oversee Boston’s restaurant businesses in the United States and Mexico. He previously worked with the Twin Peaks and Rockfish Seafood brands.
