MINNEAPOLIS Buffalo Wild Wings Inc., operator and franchisor of more than 545 casual-dining Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar restaurants, is using Micros Systems Inc. Workstation 5 terminals with Hospitality Solutions International software at new company units, HSI said.

According to representatives of Scottsdale, Ariz.-based HSI, a division of Micros, Workstation 5 terminals run the embedded WePOS operating system, feature a 15-inch touchscreen display and use flash memory and passive cooling technology to reduce the risk of mechanical failures. They said the first Buffalo Wild Wings installation took place in October, with eight more scheduled for completion by year’s end.

“It is important to stay current with technology in order to provide our customers the best service,” said Jason Mauric, information technology systems manager for Minneapolis-based Buffalo Wild Wings. “The Micros WS5 allows us to streamline our order and installation processes as well as facilitate excellent support services with a single vendor solution."
