LEBANON Tenn. CBRL Group Inc. said Wednesday that a corporate name change to its original moniker, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc., would become effective within the first two weeks of December.

The company said its shareholders already have approved the name change and that its stock would continue to trade under the CBRL symbol on the Nasdaq exchange.

“With our return to a single-concept company and to further build on our strong and highly differentiated brand, we are pleased to return to the company’s original name of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc.,” said Michael Woodhouse, chairman, president and chief executive.

CBRL, which operates 583 Cracker Barrels, also used to own the Logan's Roadhouse chain, which it sold in 2006.
