Fast-casual burger chain BurgerFi debuted its new tech-focused food truck for catering events, private parties, music venues and community events in South Florida, the company announced Tuesday.

The food truck will begin its “Fi on the Fly” Florida tour in Miami. It debuted at the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival on May 23.

“With the slew of awards we’ve won recently, BurgerFi is on a roll. Not just figuratively but now literally, with our state-of-the-art, mobile kitchen and crowd pleaser serving up our fresh all-natural favorites. It's a great way to reach more people beyond our existing locations and participate in community events,” said Julio Ramirez, CEO of BurgerFi, in a statement. “It’s an extension of the brand as we continue to grow and reach people anywhere and any way they want to experience BurgerFi.”

The 34-foot-long truck has a Bluetooth speaker system, green LED lights and a customizable menuboard screen for a tech-focused experience.

While BurgerFi’s truck operator will work with the customer to develop a custom menu for each event, classic menu items like the cheeseburger, VegFi burger, onion rings, french fries and custard shakes will be available as well.

According to BurgerFi, the truck is able to serve between 80 and 100 guests per hour with a maximum of around 300 guests. Private party packages start at $2,500.

BurgerFi went public in 2021 after being named one of the fastest-growing brands by NRN. The North Palm Beach–based restaurant has 107 units as of March 2021, according to Datassential.
