Mendocino Farms LLC on March 11 debuted its 33rd unit, opening the fast-casual sandwich-salad concept to downtown Dallas.

The Los Angeles-based sandwich-salad-soup brand has units in California and Texas, tapping into local vendors for a number of the restaurant’s menu items, the company said.

“Our goal,” said Kevin Miles, Mendocino Farms CEO, in a statement, “is to be a neighborhood gathering place for co-workers, friends, and families to come together over uniquely delicious, fresh and seasonal food.”

The new location near the Dallas Arts District covers 3,000 square feet inside with a 300-square-foot patio. It has 64 seats inside and 18 outsides.

Additional Texas-based vendors are showcased on Mendocino Farms’ beverage menu, which features brews from Dallas-based Community Beer Co. and Deep Ellum Brewing Co. alongside offerings from Karbach Brewing Co. of Houston and Tupps Brewery of McKinney, Texas, and a small selection of curated wines from California vintners Matchbook and Michael Mondavi.

Mendocino Farms also offers a catering menu as well as catering specialists at each location.

Mendocino Farms was founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Mario Del Pero and Ellen Chen.
