Paris Baguette USA Inc. has named John Billingsley as chief development officer, the company said Wednesday.

Billingsley joins the Commerce, Calif.-based Paris Baguette bakery brand after most recently serving as chief development officer at New York-based Le Pain Quotidien USA.

Paris Baguette is a division of SPC Group, a bakery and confection manufacturer based in Seoul, South Korea, which also owns the Paris Croissant brand internationally.

“It is exciting to be part of such an incredible team and look forward to rapidly expanding the Paris Baguette brand within our current markets as well as new territories across the United States,” Billingsley said in a statement.

Prior to Le Pain Quotidien, Billingsley served in leadership roles at Au Bon Pain and Papa Gino’s.

Jack Moran, who was named Paris Baguette’s chief operating officer in August, said, “John is a brand-builder with a proven track record of strategically growing and scaling global concepts.”

Paris Baguette has about 70 owned and franchised locations in the United States, and Paris Croissant has about 3,000 locations in China, France, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam.

The fast-casual Paris Baguette was founded in 1988 and offers pastries, breads, cakes, sandwiches and beverages.
