ANN ARBOR Mich. Pizza Tracker, online bling from Domino's Pizza, based here, lets many of the chain's customers peek at their 'pies' in production. Introduced in January, the order-monitoring technology o Sunday logged its millionth user: Ashley Elskoe of Houston.

“I thought it would be cool to try our Pizza Tracker and see where my pizza was in the process,” said Elskoe, who received $1,000 worth of gift certificates from the chain for her decision to log on to www.dominos.com to give Pizza Tracker a test drive.

With Pizza Tracker, which now supports more than 3,000 U.S. Domino’s restaurants, is Domino’s trying to make a point to some of its own franchisees, as well as its customers and rivals?

Listen to NRN managing editor Alan Liddle as he addresses some of the whats, whys and hows of Pizza Tracker, which some Domino's officials hint may be the first of many new "infotainment" initiatives designed to be anything but entertaining to the competition.
