Le Duff America Inc. has named Jeff Drake president of its Brioche Dorée North America, Au Pain Doré and Michel's Bakery Café concepts.
In this newly developed position, Drake, formerly president and chief operating officer of the Chicago-based Go Roma fast-casual Italian chain, will lead development for the three brands, which operate 60 cafés in the United States and Canada, the Dallas-based company said.
Le Duff America, a subsidiary of Rennes, France-based Groupe Le Duff, also owns the Bruegger’s Bagels, Ristorante del Arte and Timothy’s World Coffee brands.
Jim Vinz, co-chief executive of Le Duff America, said in a statement: “Drake’s extensive background in food and beverage management, talent development and operations is a great asset to Le Duff America.”

Drake was a founding partner of Go Roma, which was named a 2007 Nation’s Restaurant News Hot Concept. Prior to Go Roma, Drake served as chief operating officer of Boudin Sourdough Bakery Café in San Francisco.
