After years of tests, hype and changes, McDonald’s Corp. has finally introduced the product of its customization effort nationwide, in the form of its new Signature Crafted Recipes line of burgers and chicken sandwiches.

How is the company promoting the products? It invented a new utensil called a “frork.”

McDonald’s has enlisted pitchman Anthony Sullivan to star in a spoof infomercial hocking the frork, a “supremely superfluous” fork that has fries for prongs.

The frork is a silicone, fork-shaped utensil with an opening at the top to insert three or four fries. That helps customers slop up the toppings from the Signature Crafted sandwiches if they fall out.
