Menu Tracker: New items from Cracker Barrel, Noodles & Company and Taco Bell

Plus innovation at Another Wing, Checkers & Rally’s, Church’s Chicken, Joella’s Hot Chicken, Jolene’s Wings & Beer, Layne’s Chicken Fingers, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar, Ledo Pizza, Native Foods , On the Border, Perkins, Pop’s Italian Beef & Sausage, Velvet Taco and Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade

Taco Bell is teaming up with Klondike to bring back the Choco Taco, which is basically a taco-shaped Klondike Bar with peanuts, but just for a 20-store test in Los Angeles and Milwaukee, for now at least.

Sister chains Checkers & Rally’s have found a new use for the French fry seasoning that their customers love by seasoning chicken tenders with it.  

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, which began experimenting with beer and wine in 2020 has some new sweet wines and a spiked lemonade, among other new items.

Church’s Chicken has a new option for tea and lemonade, and Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade is adding fruit purées to its signature item.

Chicago concept Pop’s Italian Beef & Sausage is offering a chocolate covered strawberry shake, which it said is a secret menu item for the month but it sent out a press release about it, so it’s not that much of a secret.

In the runup to Lent, which starts March 2, Joella’s Hot Chicken is selling a cod sandwich, and Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar has a new fish & chips TV dinner. Meanwhile, its virtual brand, Jolene’s Wings & Beer, has a new wing flavor.

Layne’s Chicken Fingers now offers a spicy version of its signature item, and D.J. Khaled’s Another Wing virtual concept has a spicy chicken sandwich.

Noodles & Company has new salads, Native Foods has a vegan katsu curry and Ledo Pizza has some new wraps.

On the Border and Perkins both have a bunch of new seasonal items, and Velvet Taco’s Weekly Taco Feature has crispy pork bell
