Olo layoffs, gas prices, Taco John’s catering

Olo laid off 9% of its staff to cut costs. In a letter to employees Friday, CEO Noah Glass wrote that while the business is strong, it needs to be more efficient to remain profitable and grow.

The price of a gallon of gas is down 17% over the past year, according to AAA. Several states now average less than $3 per gallon. Yet the decline only results in an extra $10 a week for someone that fills their tank once per week–not even enough to get a Subway footlong.

Taco John’s is the latest chain to jump into catering. The company announced its partnership with ezCatering to add the channel and will include a special menu for the occasion.
