Front Burner Brands Inc. has promoted Dan Stone to the newly created position of chief business and people development officer, the parent company of The Melting Pot said Tuesday.
Stone was previously vice president of franchise development for Front Burner. In his new position, he will oversee business matters related to hiring and training, legal issues, franchise development and “various aspects of strategic planning,” according to a press release.
“It is with great pleasure that we recognize Dan Stone’s exceptional leadership in growth and development of The Melting Pot Restaurants Inc. and Front Burner Brands,” Front Burner CEO Bob Johnston said in the release. “Dan will continue to drive our company’s internal and external growth through his vast experience in franchise development as well as his background in human resources in the hospitality industry.”
The Melting Pot, a casual-dining fondue chain, has 130 units. Front Burner was previously the parent of 15-unit Burger 21, until it was spun off late last year.
