Logan’s Roadhouse Inc. has named James J. Hagan chief financial officer, and Maria Rivera senior vice president of operations, the company said Thursday.

Hagan succeeds Amy Bertauski, who left the Nashville, Tenn.-based casual-dining company in February. He has worked with such brands as Benihana, Central Parking Corp. and Dollar General.

Hagan will be responsible for all financial and accounting functions and processes, the company said, and will report directly to Sam Borgese, Logan’s Roadhouse president and CEO.

“We are delighted to have Jim on board because his experience and skills are what we need to support our strategic objectives for the brand,” said Borgese, who was named CEO in October 2014. “I have great confidence in his abilities and track record, and believe he will make many important contributions to the business.”

In her new position, Rivera will oversee restaurant operations, and will also report to Borgese. She was most recently vice president of operations for Carrollton, Texas-based TGI Fridays, and has worked with such companies as Disney, Harrah’s and Darden Restaurants Inc.

“Maria is the right person to join our senior leadership team,” Borgese said in a statement. “Her knowledge and hands-on approach to improving service consistency is already making a difference for us.”

Logan’s Roadhouse has 230 company-operated restaurants and 26 franchised locations in 23 states.
