Another local chain has filed for bankruptcy. Eegee’s, a sandwich chain based in Tucson, Arizona, declared bankruptcy last week. The company closed five of its 30 restaurants.
Taco Bell is bringing back its Live Más Live event for a second year. This year’s event will be held at the Hollywood Palladium in late January. Taco Bell Fire Tier Rewards members will have the chance to win a trip to the event, including airfare and hotel accommodations, with this week’s Tuesday Drop.
The median wage of full-service restaurant workers rose to $23.88 an hour in 2024, a 28% leap from the pre-pandemic level, according to new research from ADP Research. The new figure includes both tips and the base wages paid by the workers’ employers.
2024 may go down as the year third-party delivery became indispensable. The result was another year of soaring sales that far outpaced the performance of restaurants themselves.
