Lakewood, Colo.-based, 72-unit Good Times Restaurants Inc. has promoted Ryan Zink from chief financial officer and acting chief executive officer to CEO. Zink was previously in the role of CFO for the company, which owns Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar and Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard, and has served as acting CEO since October 2019 following the departure of former CEO Boyd Hoback.

“I have the utmost confidence in Ryan. As Acting CEO, he has demonstrated outstanding leadership and the ability that will be needed to lead the Company out of the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic and into a bright future,” Geoff Bailey, chairman of the board of directors, said in a statement. “The Board of Directors is excited about Mr. Zink’s fresh perspective and energy, coupled with his finance and operations experience, and we believe it’s what the Company needs to build strong, successful brands and to improve shareholder value.”

In his role, Zink will directly oversee the company’s brands and corporate functions and will report to the board of directors.

Prior to joining Good Times Restaurants Inc. in 2017, Zink was an executive with Invista, Champs Entertainment Inc., and F&H Acquisition Corp.

“I am honored to take the helm in a permanent appointment, even at such a turbulent time for our industry and our customers,” Zink said in a statement. “The foundation that our management team has built over the last six months has enabled us to be nimble and take immediate action to maintain both liquidity and operating capability through the pandemic. I am confident that as our nation’s crisis passes, our brands will be well positioned to capitalize on renewed demand for the high-quality food and unique experience that Good Times and Bad Daddy’s provide our guests.”
