Taco Bell on Tuesday unveiled four new prototype designs that will be tested in the chain’s Orange County, Calif., backyard starting this summer.

The four restaurant designs are variations of similar themes but offer more flexibility in décor to bring the brand into new locations, particularly as the chain moves into dense, urban markets like Atlanta, New York and Boston.

Last year, the Irvine, Calif.-based chain opened snazzy new Taco Bell Cantina concepts in San Francisco and Chicago that included local art, open kitchens, premium plating, shareable appetizers and alcohol-spiked Twisted Freezes, as well as beer, wine and sangria.
