Farmer Boys Food Inc., parent to the fast-casual Farmer Boys chain, has named Huntley Castner chief financial officer, the company said Tuesday.

Castner succeeds Judy Lewis, who left Riverside, Calif.-based Farmer Boys in September, a spokeswoman said.

Castner most recently served as CFO of the Lemonade Restaurant Group, and earlier worked with Panda Restaurant Group and Yogurtland.

Castner, a 30-year industry veteran, will provide strategic insight and analysis as Farmer Boys invests in restaurant remodels, menu innovation, new franchisees and market expansion, the company said.

“We are excited to welcome Huntley to the Farmer Boys team,” said Karen Eadon, Farmer Boys president and COO, in a statement. “Huntley’s vast experience with financial strategy and growth in the fast-casual sector is what we need to support the advancement of Farmer Boys and position the company for continued and ongoing success.”

Castner said he looked forward to the opportunity to expand Farmer Boys into new areas in the Western U.S.

Farmer Boys was founded in 1981 and operates 90 restaurants in California and Nevada.
