The ONE Group Hospitality Inc., parent to the high-end STK steakhouse chain, is looking for a chief operating officer, the company said Friday.

Current COO John Inserra said he will step down, but will remain to assist with the transition.

“The ONE Group is a great organization with a great team in place,” Inserra said in a statement. “After a long career of constant traveling, at this point in my career, to be permanently based back in the Midwest to be closer to home is very important to my family and me.”

Jonathan Segal, CEO of The ONE Group, said, “We greatly appreciate the significant work John has done for the company and we are going to miss him. John has helped us build the scale and infrastructure we need to become a substantially larger business.”

Inserra joined New York-based The ONE Group in January 2014, just after the company went public with a reverse merger in late 2013.

Last month, The ONE Group announced plans to acquire the Katsuya and Cleo restaurant brands from SBE for about $75 million.

Segal said Inserra will stay with the company through upcoming new restaurant openings, as well as the completion and integration of the pending acquisition.

The ONE Group has 11 STK locations, with more in the works, including a new concept called STK Rebel with a similar menu but more accessible pricing.
