Todd Brighton, senior vice president and chief development officer at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc., plans to step down from his position in July, according to the company.

Brighton, who joined the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based casual-dining operator in April 2001, did not publicly disclose the reason for his departure. However, Red Robin said the resignation is not related to any disagreement with the company’s accounting, operating policies or practices.

Before joining Red Robin, Brighton worked for RTM Restaurant Group in Atlanta as director of real estate.
