1: Acquired Teavana Holdings Inc., a 300-unit tea retailer, for $620 million in January 2013, and Bay Bread LLC, parent of 19-unit La Boulange, for $100 million on July 3, 2012.
2: Subsidiary Bloomin’ Brands Inc. on Aug. 12, 2012, completed an IPO, netting $146.2 million and shrinking Bain’s holding to 55.8 percent and Catterton Partners’ to 11.6 percent.
3: Preceding-Year revenue dropped after the sale of Long John Silver’s and A&W in December 2011, and KFC refranchising efforts led to a $322 million decrease in company-store sales; $43 million in company-store sales from a 53rd week helped to offset the decline.
