Pizza Hut has relaunched its Big Dinner Box, which was popular promotion earlier this year, for the fall football season and tapped Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for its upcoming television ads.

In the ads, Rodgers couches his wry comments with two other television-viewing fans as the college and professional football seasons ramp up in earnest.

Kurt Kane, Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer, said, “There is no player out there who represents going for great better than Aaron Rodgers, so when we heard he was a fan of Pizza Hut we just knew we had to partner up.”

Rodgers, who says the Pizza Hut mushroom and pepperoni pizza is his favorite, will appear in a series of TV spots that debuted Sunday during the first full slate of pro football games. Rodgers added in a statement: “I’m a big fan of the brand, and I know from experience how much better it is to watch football with a slice of Pizza Hut pizza in one hand.”

Pizza Hut said the ads will rotate and refresh throughout the season. They are also available on Pizza Hut’s YouTube channel.

The Big Dinner Box contains two medium pizzas, breadsticks and a choice of Stuffed Pizza Rollers, Tuscani Pasta or eight chicken wings for $19.99.

Pizza Hut, a division of Yum! Brands Inc., has nearly 10,000 restaurants in 90 nations.
