LongHorn Steakhouse will pull the wraps off its 501st unit on March 26 with some distinctively Texas flag waving, executives said.
The division of Orlando, Fla.-based Darden Restaurants Inc. features Texan elements in a new 5,850-square-foot restaurant in Plano to localize the brand like never before, said Todd Burrowes, LongHorn Steakhouse president, at a pre-opening event on Friday.
“You will notice in our décor that we put a special emphasis on how proud we are to be in Texas,” Burrowes said.

LongHorn Steakhouse opened its first Texas unit in 2010, in San Antonio, and now has 30 restaurants across the Lone Star State.
