Organized labor’s latest war against the quick-service industry is picking up steam. After starting its “Potemkin village” picket lines in New York this past April, the Service Employees International Union initiated similar labor-led campaigns in 10 other cities by the end of July and 60 cities by the end of August.
 
In every case, the SEIU has staffed the picket lines with professional union organizers, labor-backed community groups, paid protesters and even an actual employee or two, if they could find them. The SEIU is banking serious money on this harassment tactic. Acting through its various “worker center” front groups and subsidiaries — Fast Food Forward, Fight for 15, etc. — the union has now spent at least $7.5 million attacki...
