CARPINTERIA Calif. Carl's Jr. on Wednesday introduced a new Breakfast Club Sandwich, consisting of roasted turkey and shaved ham, a fried egg, Swiss and American cheeses and bacon, all served on grilled sourdough bread.

The new item will be sold at participating units for a recommended price of $2.79, or $4.29 as part of a combo meal that also includes hash rounds and coffee.

Parent company CKE Restaurants, based here, operates or franchises 1,087 Carl's Jr. locations, 1,906 Hardee's restaurants and 96 La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grills.
