WINSTON-SALEM N.C. Krispy Kreme has returned football-shaped doughnuts to its roster for another year, trotting them out through Sept. 29 and then on every weekend through Super Bowl Sunday.

The chain’s classic yeast-raised doughnuts are cut into football shapes, coated with icing in the colors of local football teams and decorated with laces. Tailgate Packs include a dozen football-shaped doughnuts and a dozen original glazed doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme, based here, has 411 domestic and foreign units.
