CHICAGO The owner of the Chicago restaurant Rosscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles on Wednesday reportedly agreed to change the concept’s name after the operator of a similarly named chain with a long history in Southern California filed a trademark infringement lawsuit.

Herb Hudson, the longtime owner of the five-unit Roscoe’s House of Chicken 'n Waffles, based in Los Angeles, filed suit earlier this week seeking damages for infringing on a federal trademark.

Aday later, Darnell Johnson of Rosscoe's agreed to change the name of his restaurant to Chicago’s Home of Chicken and Waffles.
