ST. LOUIS Hardee’s is reintroducing its Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger for a limited time.

The sandwich features a third-pound Angus patty topped with sliced steak, sautéed peppers and onions, and melted Swiss and American cheeses. It sells for $3.99 or for $5.99 as part of a combo with a drink and fries.

Like Hardee’s other Thickburgers, the Philly Cheesesteak variation is a hefty offering, with 930 calories and 63 grams of fat, according to Hardee’s website.

"The Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger was a favorite among young hungry guys when it first launched in April 2006," said Brad Haley, executive vice president of marketing for Hardee's. "It combines the classic taste of a Philly cheese steak piled on our famous Thickburger. This remains one of our most innovative Thickburgers."

A division of CKE Restaurants Inc., St. Louis-based Hardee’s has 1,905 corporate and franchised units.
