MIAMI Burger King introduced Funnel Cake Sticks, a new dessert-snack product, at its restaurants nationwide on Monday.

Available in a pack of nine for a suggested $1.79, the Funnel Cake Sticks are fried, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with icing for dipping.

“Funnel Cake Sticks, inspired by the original carnival favorite, deliver the much-loved taste in the perfect on-the-go packaging,” said John Schaufelberger, senior vice president for global product marketing and innovation for Burger King Corp.

The new menu item is being supported with 15-second television ads that will begin airing Thursday and feature the King as a carnival-style fortuneteller.

Burger King has more than 12,000 stores in 74 nations.
