Tamarind is a pod-like fruit that grows mostly in tropical climates and has a sweet-and-sour flavor. It can enhance sweet and savory foods and drinks like cocktails and sodas. While tamarind has the highest awareness with Asian and Hispanic consumers, it’s becoming more popular on U.S. restaurant menus.
