CHATTANOOGA Tenn. The Krystal Co., operator of the namesake regional burger chain, is debuting a new line of slush drinks this week called Krystal Freeze.

Starting Thursday, the made-to-order frozen drinks will be available in seven flavors: orange, cherry, green apple grape, pomegranate, blueberry and Coca-Cola. The suggested price is $1.79 for a 20-ounce size.

In conjunction with the new drinks, the company is launching a “brain freeze-coping online campaign.” The campaign will include a series of e-mails to Krystal's newsletter subscribers with tips on coping with sphenopalatineganglioneuralgia, the condition commonly referred to as brain freeze.

Tips also will be posted on Krystal’s official "Brain Freeze Relief" MySpace page at www.myspace.com/brainfreezerelief. Krystal Freeze drinkers will be encouraged to share videos of their own brain freeze experiences and tricks they have used for relief.

Krystal, based here, has nearly 400 restaurants in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.
