The pairing:

Mature Barolo is always my favorite with lamb. Winemaker Valentino Migliorini’s elegant, modern expression of Barolo has a concentration of fruit and dried floral aromas that enhance the sweetness of the figs, while the wine’s classically firm structure and earthy tar notes marry well with the smoky char of the wood fire-grilled lamb and eggplant.
