IRVING Texas CEC Entertainment Inc., parent of the Chuck E. Cheese chain, said Wednesday that president Michael H. Magusiak would also become chief executive on Dec. 29. He succeeds Richard Frank, who will remain executive chairman.

Magusiak has been CEC president since June 1994. He joined the company in 1987 and has served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

Frank said, “In the 21 years Mike and I have worked together, Mike has excelled with every opportunity he has been given. I am confident this promotion will be no different.”

CEC owns and operates 494 Chuck E. Cheese units and franchises 46 others.
