Chili’s Grill & Bar will be celebrating its 48th birthday on Monday, March 13, with a special $3.13 Presidente Margarita deal systemwide, the company said, as well as refreshing its year-old merchandise store.

Chili’s, the casual-dining division of Dallas-based Brinker International Inc., was founded in 1975. A spokesperson said the margarita usually sells for $9, but the $3.13 reflects the birthday date.

“We’re leaning into nostalgia and finding fun ways to get Chili’s back into cultural conversations,” said George Felix, Chili’s chief marketing officer, in statement.

Nostalgia also figures into the new offerings upcoming Monday at the year-old

Chili’s online merchandise, which can be accessed at www.welcometochilis.com.

Some new items are inspired by Chili’s Southwestern heritage and will be available from $8 to $25 starting March 13. The collection includes baby onesies for the first time, pepper-inspired hair claw clips, scarves and coasters.

“Our guests have fond memories of Chili’s back in the day, and we wanted to bring back those moments with a collection that highlights our heritage,” Felix said.

Brinker owns, franchises and operates more than 1,600 restaurants in 29 nations and two U.S. territories. It also owns the casual-dining Maggiano’s Little Italy and the virtual It's Just Wings and Maggiano's Italian Classics brands.
