Casual-dining company appoints former Restaurant Brands International executive
Brinker International Inc., parent to the Chili's Grill & Bar and Maggiano's Little Italy casual-dining brands, has named Frank Liberio to its board, the company said Monday.
Dallas-based Brinker said Liberio is experienced in restaurant technology and most recently served as executive vice president and global chief information officer for Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International Inc., parent to the Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Firehouse Subs brands.
Prior to RBI, Liberio worked at the McDonald's Corp. for more than 16 years, serving in various leadership roles before becoming senior vice president and global chief information officer.
Joe DePinto, Brinker’s chairman, said in a statement: "We couldn't be more pleased to welcome Frank to the Brinker board of directors and know his wisdom and leadership maturity will bring valuable insights as we support Brinker's growth strategies with a focus on the guest experience.”
Brinker International, founded in 1975, also has the It’s Just Wings virtual brand. It owns, operates or franchises nearly 1,600 restaurants in the United States and 27 other countries and two U.S. territories.
