Winter Park, Fla.-based Ruth's Hospitality Group Inc. said Kristy Chipman will take on the role of Chief Financial Officer effective Nov. 30.

She will succeed Arne Haak, who will be acting as a strategic advisor through early 2021, the company announced in a regulatory filing released late Thursday. Chipman comes to the fine dining steak house from Orangetheory Fitness, where she was CFO at the fitness franchise which has more than 1,300 studios. Before that, she held various financial roles at Domino’s Pizza Inc. and McDonald's Corp.

“Throughout her extensive career, Kristy has demonstrated strong financial leadership through a combination of strategic finance, development, and corporate financial planning and analysis experience," CEO and president Cheryl Henry said in a prepared statement. "We are thrilled to have her join the Ruth’s team and look forward to benefiting from her well-established credentials and executive leadership abilities.”

Henry thanked Haak for his contributions to the company during the past nine years.

"He has played an important role in the execution of our total return strategy, which will continue to be the cornerstone of our strategic efforts going forward. We are appreciative of his support during the transition period and we wish him well in his future endeavors," she said.
