Outback Steakhouse has launched catering to 481 locations in the United States and plans to expand the services, the company said Thursday.

Catering is now available in about 70% of the U.S. locations, a spokesperson said. The division of Tampa, Fla-based Bloomin’ Brands Inc. has 695 domestic locations.

The initiative is the first time Outback has offered catering, the company said.

“We’re looking forward to sharing milestone moments with our guests at occasions like weddings, family gatherings, watch parties and celebrations,” said Brett Patterson, president of Outback Steakhouse, in a statement.

“We’re particularly excited to cater to employees as they return to the office because we know the power of sharing a great meal whether it be for recognition or a social gathering during a busy day,” Patterson said.

The company said the catering offerings range from boxed lunches to buffet-style options for parties of 10 or more.

The catering menu offers such Outback Steakhouse classics as the Alice Springs Chicken, Victoria’s Filet Mignon and Kookaburra Wings. Customers can also enjoy catering-exclusive offers like a build-your-own burger bar.

Outback catering is available for pick-up before 4 p.m. daily at participating locations. Catering orders can be placed directly on the Outback Steakhouse website.

Bloomin’ Brands Inc. is parent to the Outback, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar concepts. It has more than 1,450 restaurants in 47 states, Guam and 17 countries.
