Casual-dining CEO David Deno says company received 'significant interest' in its Brazilian steakhouse business
Executives at Bloomin Brands Inc., which announced in November it was considering strategic alternatives, said they were still considering a sale but indicated the Brazilian Outback Steakhouse business seemed the most attractive to spin off.
David Deno, CEO of the Tampa, Fla.-based casual-dining company, which also owns the Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Bar concepts, said in a fourth-quarter call with investors, ”At this point in time, nothing compelling has materialized in terms of outright sale of the company.
