Robert Thompson, who resigned this week from Punch Bowl Social, is not done with big-box concepts that cater to a generation that craves experiential activities.

“Millennials have barely been willing to change their patterns in the midst of a global pandemic. Will Punch Bowl still be there [after the pandemic]? Will Millennials still demand experiences in their retail? Absolutely,” Thompson said during an interview to discuss his exit from the restaurant-arcade hybrid concept he founded in Denver in 2012

Thompson said the pandemic was the catalyst for his departure as he plans to work on developing new projects through an incubator company he’s formed in Denver.
