CULVER CITY, Calif. Sizzler is running a new television and radio ad campaign to tout the revamp of the 300-unit chain’s salad bar.
Franchisor Sizzler USA says more than 50 new items have been cycled onto the bar, which has been rebranded as the Fresh and Tasty array. The new options include a Thai noodle salad with chopped fresh vegetables and toasted sesame seeds in a sesame dressing, and a rotini pasta salad with fresh vegetables and Italian dressing. New desserts and appetizers were also added, headquarters said.
Patrons start at $6.99. In some markets, Sizzler says, guests can have a six-ounce steak with their salad-bar choices for an additional $3.
The updating of the salad bar follows the removal of hot buffets from most locations, according to the chain.
Sizzler has also revised its menu of grilled steaks and seafoods. The chain was acquired in September 2005 by Australia-based Pacific Equity Partners.
