TGI Fridays is ramping up international growth, taking a cautious approach to third-party delivery and investing millions in consumer-facing technology to improve guest counts, CEO Ray Blanchette said Monday.
Following a presentation at the annual ICR Conference in Orlando, Blanchette discussed the Dallas-based casual dining chain's 2020 goals during a phone interview with Nation's Restaurant News. Key priorities for the brand include driving guest counts, which are negative but improving year over year, through weekday value deals. The company also plans to drive traffic with a revamped loyalty program that rewards the chain’s most valuable diners.
