Even amid a pandemic that is completely changing the restaurant industry, value remains one of the most important attributes to consumers. In fact, many are more cost-conscious than ever.
For this year’s Consumer Picks, a data-driven report on customer preference and restaurant brand strength, market research firm Datassential asked consumers how chains ranked on value. In this gallery, meet the 11 chains with the highest percentage of consumers rating them “best in class” or “above average.”
Not surprisingly, the list is mainly comprised of limited-service chains, both fast casual and QSR, which have long been known for their value. But a casual-dining chain, a buffet chain, and a family-dining chain also all snuck into the top of the rankings.
