They look like fries, and taste like funnel cake. What’s not to love?
Funnel cake fries are popping up on menus because of their fun and interactive nature — not to mention their taste. In addition to being shareable (not that sharing is required) and tasty, they can also be dressed up or down, depending on the restaurant operator. They can be sprinkled with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar, or paired with a range of sweet and syrupy dips, from chocolate or caramel sauce to fruit coulis or marshmallow spread.
Funnel cake fries are appearing as a must-get for adult and kid consumers alike. Market research firm Datassential reports that 73% of the population knows funnel cake fries, and 50% have tried them, with awareness highest among Southern consumers.
