The Michigan-based chain is looking to see a 50% increase in growth this year
February 21, 2024
In a tight race, Savvy Sliders, the Michigan-based slider chain, has been crowned the winner of the Nation’s Restaurant News Burger Showdown.
The winner was decided via votes on NRN’s LinkedIn and Instagram accounts. Vancouver, Wash.-based local burger chain Burgerville was the runner-up.
Savvy Sliders began as another concept, Happy Pizza, in 2018 and has since expanded to 40 locations. According to the brand’s VP of business development Mark Wolok, the slider concept expects to see a 50% increase in growth this year.
Best-sellers, Wolok said, include “our fresh all fresh Angus beef burger or classic or chicken fingers — hand-battered fresh to order, marinated on site — we believe are the best and finest tasting chicken fingers in the industry and then of course our custard shakes. We’ve got about seven or eight different [flavors]. We have a once a month with a new shake that comes out as a limited-time offer as well.”
Other competitors in the Burger Showdown included Smalls Sliders, Hopdoddy Burger Bar, and Wayback Burgers.
Stay tuned to Nation’s Restaurant News in April for our next Showdown.
