Nation’s Restaurant News announced that it is hosting its first CREATE Road Show of 2024 in Atlanta on May 6.
The free networking and education event, sponsored by Johnsonville Foodservice and Popmenu, is 6-9 p.m. at Chido & Padre’s in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood.
“We hosted our first Atlanta Road Show last year and had a phenomenal response from the local restaurant community,” said Sam Oches, NRN’s editor-in-chief. “We’re thrilled to come back to Atlanta and celebrate the city’s diverse and eclectic dining scene with an evening of food, drinks, and conversation.”
Oches and NRN’s executive editor Alicia Kelso will be in attendance at the event, which is designed to foster community and connections among restaurant operators.
In addition to networking, the Road Show will feature an educational panel exploring pricing strategies from some of the city’s more entrepreneurial restaurateurs. Panelists include:
Katy Young, Founder & Owner, Yumbii
Michael Alberici, SVP, Head of Marketing, Smalls Sliders
Lauren Fernandez, Founder & CEO, Full Course
Stuart Fierman, Operating Partner, Fifth Group Restaurants
“Every restaurateur is struggling with their pricing strategy and profit margins as they’re squeezed on all sides from rising costs,” Oches said. “Our Road Show panel will shed some light on smart pricing strategies designed to help restaurant leaders weather this season of inflation.”
NRN’s CREATE Road Show series gathers emerging restaurant operators in cities across America for networking and education. The series culminates with CREATE: The Event for Emerging Restaurateurs, an annual conference that is happening in Nashville this Oct. 9-11.
