This year seems to be the year of the restaurant CEO change, and May was no different.

BurgerFi, Bonchon U.S., Panera Brands, FAT Brands and Shipley Do-Nuts have all named new CEOs. The CEO of TGI Fridays has resigned, but there is no replacement yet.

There were also several presidents named last month, and at some organizations that’s the top role. Wetzel’s Pretzels named a new president on the heels of its CEO’s departure. Additionally, Sunnyside Restaurant Group named a new president.

In other news, Chipotle named a new chief development officer, Smoothie King and Denny’s named chief operating officers, and Red Robin and Papa Johns named new chief marketing officers.

Check out which executives took on new roles across the restaurant industry in May.
