Pizza upstarts picks a fight with Big Pizza

Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza and MOD Pizza have been duking it out in the competitive fast-casual pizza segment for the past few years. But the latest round goes to DoorDash.

Today, Blaze Pizza announced the systemwide release of large, shareable pizzas dispatched directly to the customer. If that sounds like something Domino's and other big pizza brands have been doing for some time, it's by design. 
For a long time, traditional pizza brands had a "monopoly" on delivery, said Amanda “Mandy” Shaw, Blaze’s interim CEO and chief financial officer.
