MIAMI Burger King Corp. Thursday named LatinWorks of Austin, Texas, its Hispanic advertising agency of record for the United States.

The account had been with Bromley Communications.

“We’re excited by the depth of knowledge we’ve seen from LatinWorks and look forward to working together to expand our brand’s relationship with this extremely valued consumer segment,” said Cindy Syracuse, senior director of cultural marketing at Burger King.

Media planning and purchasing will be handled by Tapestry, the Chicago-based multicultural division of Starcom MediaVest Group, a subsidiary of Publicis Groupe of Paris.

LatinWorks has such clients as Anheuser-Busch, Domino’s Pizza, Lowe’s, Mars Inc. and Kimberly-Clark. LatinWorks is part of the Omnicom DAS Global network through a minority equity partnership.
