Capriotti’s and Wing Zone announced Monday that the company had added two new executives to its c-suite: Michael Meche as chief restaurant officer and Scott Wessel ad chief technology officer.

Michel Meche formerly worked for Papa Johns for 30 years in various roles, the most recent being vice president of franchise operations, where he led operations for franchise restaurants for just under two years.

"I had no ambition of leaving the company I'd been with for decades," Meche said in a statement. "But the prospect of joining a brand as value and purpose-driven as Capriotti's and Wing Zone, whose current trajectory and market presence remind me of Papa Johns from 20-years ago, was a clear opportunity to have a hand in the success of a franchise that could benefit far more from my experience and input."

Scott Wessel, meanwhile, has been working with Capritotti’s now for three months, and previously held multiple roles for MGM Resorts International for over two decades, including senior vice president and chief information officer, where he helped to provide direction for technological infrastructure, application, data, and digital aspects of the international resports.

"While well-positioned in the industry, the Capriotti's and Wing Zone brands are in the infancy of their technological advancement," Wessel said in a statement. "In this role, I'm hoping to create a roadmap from scratch that will guide the adoption of cutting-edge tech and practices capable of keeping the company at the forefront of the QSR sector."

According to Capriotti’s, both new executives share goals of driving revenue and innovation, supporting the growing franchise system, developing infrastructure for both brands, and helping the company stay ahead of the curve when it comes to automation, guest experience, and menu creativity.

"The expansion of our c-suite is meant to signal more than just the growth of our internal operations,” David Bloom, chief development and operating officer for Capriotti's and Wing Zone said in a statement. “It's representative of the team we're building to oversee and ensure that the culture, quality, and commitment of the Capriotti's and Wing Zone brand's remain uniform and unwavering as we continue to rapidly develop in new markets around the country.
