Chipotle Mexican Grill has expanded the functionality of its digital ordering platforms by adding the option to order through Facebook Messenger, as well as giving consumers the ability to make group orders and donations.

Starting June 22, consumers on Facebook will be introduced to Chipotle’s new concierge bot, Pepper. Pepper is introduced to customers who visit Chipotle’s Facebook page or app and select the “Message Us” option. 

Pepper will navigate the customer through the ordering process, from finding a restaurant for pickup or delivery to customizing a bowl or burrito. Chipotle said the ordering experience mirrors the in-restaurant process, allowing guests to personalize each meal with light, standard or extra ingredient quantities a...
